Well, at this time tomorrow I will be in the air. I am all packed, except that I have to actually put my carry-on stuff in a bag. I'm trying to bring minimal stuff, just a notebook and a few books. I know I won't read all the books though. Maybe I should cut down. At the moment I have the Lord of the Rings trilogy all in a combined volume, 'The Beautiful and The damned' and 'This side of paradise' by Fitzgerald, and 'Wildacre' by the woman who wrote 'The other Boelyn girl', which I loved. But my biggest problem is now that I still do not have someone to come meet me at the airport. I haven't heard back from Ayako, and I can't reach her on her keitai so far. It keeps being busy. Hopefully I will reach her, and hopefully still won't have to work on Sun. If not I guess I'll have to try to call other people. *Sigh* I should have dealt with this earlier. And I think that is the theme of my summer. Oh well, if worse comes to worse, I can send my bag and go home by myself, I just would rather not. Esp if I'm jetlagged.... Also, I think mom will freak if I don't have someone to meet me at the airport...

Well, Okaasan can't come to meet me at the airport, because she has to work... I've e-mailed Ayako, and maybe she will be able to come... I hope so. She said that she wanted to come meet me, I just hope she doens't have part-time or something, I'm a bit worried. I shouldn't have left it this late, but without a fax it was hard to get in touch with Okaasan, etc. *sigh* now I have to figure out packing. This shouldn't be *too* hard, since really, I could go with nothing but the clothes on my back, and be ok, except that I would die of bordom. And I need to bring back my suitcase to pack in Dec. Hmm...maybe I'll be diligent and Subaru-like and make a packing list.... umm... In my suitcase A few clothes. My winter clothes are all there, and I won't need many summer clothes at all. Vintage dress for the LJ (LoveJunx, not LiveJournal ;) ) Halloween party? My omiyage for everyone. My pictures Spice Girl movie and Original Sin for Carolyn Concentration 20 concert? Precious Collection My laptop? In my carry-on My CDs (the Baby Vox booklet) My laptop? Books (OotP, LotR?) A notebook Drawing stuff? Kanji text (blech)
I am feeling bored, alone, depressed, at loose ends and very unproductive. Today has not been a very good day, starting with not being able to fax Okaasan to tell her my arrival time in the hopes that she can come to airport to meet me. The line kept being busy, after all the stress and yelling I went thru to try to find the Country Code for Japan in a race against time when I realized it was nearing 1 AM there. So far, the high point of my day has been listening to my Sailormoon theme songs CD and singing at the top of my lungs to all of the good old natsukashii songs such as Heart Moving. And surely this return to SM indicates some kind of extreme lonliness and escapism on my part. However, even my singing fest was interrupted by the scary Black Dog Landscaping people in their sketchy unmarked silver truck that came to mow the lawn. Because of course I am very paranoid because it is 9/11, and after living in Japan, I seem to need very little reason to be paranoid. Then I was a bit consoled by reading some of Maya’s wonderful Draco/Zacharias trilogy, and later by her LJ, because she amuses me greatly, although I don’t really know her. But for the most part, I have been apathetic, and very lonesome all day, and have not as yet been able to force myself to do any of the things I am supposed to do, which include unloading the dishwasher, sorting thru the clothes which have to be washed before I leave, and beginning some semblance of packing. I have not even been able to do the things that I do not have, but wanted to do, such as watching one of the many movies and concert videos I dragged out of my room, or attempting to burn some CDs from my plethora of MP3s on my computer, because it is a big pain in the neck, since I’d have to hook up my burner, convert all the songs I wanted to WAV, and pray I didn’t make a coaster. How I long for Dad’s nice CDBurner on his *retch* iMac, because it lets you drag and drop mp3s and you don’t have to convert them, nor does it make coasters. I hate being alone in the house all day everyday, especially after having been almost constantly with either Em or my friends the whole summer until now. It is most definitely detrimental to my mental-health. I just want to go back to Japan where I have so many people to see it causes me to stress out about it, and things to do.
