Concentration 20

My hair is very blond. It's actually a lot like the shade of Season 3 Buffy's, strangely. I am now a Buffy/Faith shipper. *sigh* I have new contacts which I need only take out once a month, and gold (albeit very short) nails, courtesy of a manicure today. Tomorrow I go into the city to celebrate le birthday with Mirai-chan and Megu-chan. It will be my last hurrah before I get to wake up at some ungodly hour so I can board the plane at 7:30 AM and then spend about 19 hours getting to Japan, thanks to a 3 hour layover in Vancouver during which I must attempt to switch planes and get on the right one. But first I must somehow finish packing. I would also like to finish Season 3, since I've got I think 4 episodes left but I don't think I have time to watch them. I would bring my DVDs to Japan but for region coding, and a laptop which doens't have a DVD player. I also can't burn my singles into albums as I was planning because apparently Hanks PC got switche dback to Windows XP, which makes a very appropriate face, because it sucks, and will not run any programs, including the CD burning one. Poo
Well, anyway, my host family told me to make a list of what I wanted to do in Japan, so here is my...
Anything-goes-martial-arts list of what I want to do in Nihon!
-Join MAX's fanclub so as to in following goal to...
-See MAX (li-chan, li-chan, ahhh!)
-See Namie
-See Anna-san (in a not concert way)
-An extension of the above, join Anna-san's Hyper Class
-hang with my Bunkyo friends
-hang out with Kou during spring break
-procure Yokohama Live Concert Video from said Kou
-See Takarazuka (hopefully with Tom!!)
-Buy clothes/makeup
-Get hair extension, and fake nails (shut up, I'm not a gal!)
-Go to Popteen Station (hopefully see Aki-chan, or Kayo-chan, or Maiko-chan. note: will not stare at Kayo-chan's F cup breasts)
-See Maiko-san, maybe at Hyper??
-Go to Kyoto, see Mocchin and Ka-chan
-Go to Osaka, and meet people who speak Kansai-ben, hopefully including kansai-ben speaking friends Rimi-san, Hakase-san and Anzu-san.
-Go to Shinjuku 2chome and get hit on by Japanese lesbians, being a super kawaii blond gaijin. Or possible barred from the er, bars, because gaijin have scary diseases. (albeit not go by myself. Hmm does anyone see that not happening then?)
-Karaoke till I drop. Woo hoo.

Let's see. Where to start. Well, first off, I have joined the club of the lonely hearted. Or something. My laptop crashed the day before yesterday. (what a surprise....since Hank gave it to me BECAUSE it crashed on him) But still it was the first (and hopefully last (kow) ) time that a computer has crash on me. It would run in safe mode but it said that it couldnt find some file to run system.ini, even though the file was there. I tried desparately to save my files (various and sundry saved IMs, a story, and 4 media files) to no avail. It was quite depressing.
On a happy note, I wrote snail-mail letters last week to a bunch of my Bunkyo friends, and all my host families, and they all got them!!! Today I got e-mails from
-Midori
-Erina
-Saya
-The Noguchi's
-Ms. Shimada

Now all I'm waiting for is Kaori's family, and Sayoko's family. Funny that those are the two host families I had for the longest. Although, they both could possibly not have e-mail.
Aside from that, I've also heard from Kyoko (who's talked to Chikako), and Masa-kun. Now if KOu would right, it'd all be perfect. Only now I have to write everyone back. But still! Now, even if my host family sucks, I have friends!!
I also have the Buffy Season 3 DVD set!! It's very cool!! I love Faith! Altho I didn't watch any eps with her yet. Everyone is so young! The 'Band Candy' episode was fabulous!! '16 year old' GIles was awsome, with his Spike-type accent!! Yay Ripper!
Spike was kinda a drunken pitiful love-sick guy tho, crying on Willow and moaning to Joyce about Dru's 'we can still be friends'. The whole Willow/Xander subplot is just WRONG tho. It really is! The only place it is ok is in the alternate universe. It should never have been allowed to take place in the regular one. However, I quite like Vampire Willow! 'The vampire me is so...skanky! And evil, and...I think she might be gay!'
