I had such a good day today! When I woke up Anzu-san had e-mailed me that she'd put up the song of Maiko's to listen to on the site. So I did, and it was so good, I almost cried! (It's true, Maiko-san's songs do make you cry...) It was in English (very good English, BTW) and turned out to be a Whitney Houston song. I shall make everyone listen to it!! Ko also wrote me back, in his cute half English/ half Japanese, and depending on how long he'll be here, it looks like he might stay with us! I hope he does! Then I watched a little video of the press conference for TK and Keiko's wedding, and it was so moving! Keiko-san looked so gorgeous!! It made me run around the room saying 'Ooh I want to get married! I want to meet a wonderful guy and get married!' LOL And my Certificate of Eligibility came!! My family looks cool! The dad looks like the Prime Minister of Japan, without the gray hair. Then we had Japanese dinner where the 3 nensei's cooked. Osada-san and Nemo-sen made me dance and sing for them (and everyone else) So I pulled ShigureStef and some other girl (another Fry-san) up to be my back up dancers, and taught them the dance, and then I sang 'eternal white' for everyone. I was embaressed and nervous and mic-less, so I forgot the words a lot and sucked, but then we did it again (the whole song) lip synching which was abit better I think, at least people seemed amused. It was fun tho. then I spend most of dinner talking to Osada-san about MAX, and Namie and Actor's and marriage. It was fun. Osada-san is so omoshiroi and tanoshii. Yay!

Ack...it's only 10 am, and I'm already stressed out. This is why I hate the end of the semester, all these little things creep up on you... I have a 10 page paper for my Hindu class, and a 5 page paper for my Rome class, both due on the last day of classes which I haven't started. I also have my reading journal for my Hindu class, which should be at least as long as the paper, I guess, but I haven't done almost any of the readings for this part of the semester yet. And then I have a quiz on Rome tommorrow. Eek, and a exam in CompSci on Dec 4, which I didn't remember about until this very moment. And who knows if I'll get any work done over break. I highly doubt it. I mean not only will I be with my imouto, with whom I will want to spend most of my time because I haven't seen her in several months, but we're going to Aunt Lynn's etc where there will be other family members. Not to mention the fact that Thanksgiving Break is not that long, really. Ahh, I hate the end of the semester... I did have a good weekend so far though, because I made today my day to think about work, which may be the undoing of me. I went to the Renaissance Dance lessons at the behest of Jen, who ended up not being there (because it turned out she was sick). At first I felt really awkward and kinda wanted to leave, but then when we started dancing it was a lot of fun. My partner was this brusque Asian girl (the first thing she said to me was 'bow, women.' ) who actually turned out to be very nice. It was a lot of fun dancing with her, because we both got pretty much into character, talking about if she would defend my honour, etc, and when I spun fancily around she said, 'You're pretty. Ok, I'll take you home. How much are you worth?' And she didn't laugh at me when I messed up the dance steps, and just said that I was cute. There was this one dance where you had to walk a bit to the left, and ended up facing another partner for a second, before returning, but the guy I ended up facing seemed nice too, it was a lot fun, he would smile jauntily at me and bow, and then I would go back to my partner. Speaking of who, San who was working there has decided that we were flirting. But I don't think we were. It was a very specific space that we were in during the dance. Anyway, my partner left after a while, which was disappointing, esp. cuz it was right after I borrowed some 'loaner garb' as Alina called it, and I was excited about dancing in a dress. But at least Alina was there, so I danced with her, which was ok. But I have to say, it wasn't the same.
