I am currently on a total Takarazuka kick. I haven't been on one for a while, since this Jan when I bought my 'BeruBara' video. I watched Kamen no Romanesque with Hen and San, and it made me remember how much I love TOM. Aa, Yuu-sama..... So gorgeously hot. So endearingly dorky and comical as Danseny. So cool and elegant and hot in the Revue, esp. in the white suit and white Casablanca hat. And I really love Charlie too. It's too bad she quit. She makes such a great Valmont!! I just love her facial expressions, and her eyes....either an eloquent eye roll, or a smouldering gaze.... And Hana-chan is so beautiful, so cute. Such a good combination! Hana-chan and Charlie's duet gives me shivers.... And I really loved Charlie's ballad in the Golden Days revue. I didn't think I would so much, because I usually only like ballads if I'm in the mood for them, but it really left me breathless. I just sat there with my mouth open. I think Hen did too, cuz she whispered that Charlie's voice was amazingly trained. The only other time I'm so overwhelmed by someone's voice is with WakaMai. Anyway, now I really want to see 'Mayonaka no Ghost' with Tom, and also Guys & Dolls. Why oh why does Takarazuka have to make their videos $100 a pop? For the moment, I will just rent the 'Dream Girls' video from MHC's library, and drool at the otokoyaku's and be annoyed at all the insinuations of Takarazuka being 'lesbian theatre'. Because it's not. It's so much more complicated than that.... Hen and San said they don't like high voices, which I thought was interesting. I love high voices. With is why I' m currently listening to Livy's angelic voice on repeat, in 'into the stars'. But I also love low voices. For example, Namie has a pretty low voice, considering. So does Minako. Rei's low tones are very sexy. Anyway, watching 'Kamen~' made me realize once again how powerful talent and entertainment are. How much sense the 'entertainment for the joy of others' concept of Actor's makes to me. How it's so much easier for me to understand then say, the 'English' concept. Plus it also makes sense because in entertainment, you're working for somethign concrete. Which is what I'm not getting here, and what I hope to get as my actual job. I want to do something really concrete. So that I have something to show for all my hard work. But for now...I'm content to sink into luxurious, extravegent crimson colored dreams of Takarazuka.
